AQUA [WATER]
Water
Water is the most common ingredient in cosmetics. It acts as a solvent and helps hydrate the skin. At our production site, we use our own BÖRLIND deep spring water, sourced from a depth of 166 meters and known for its exceptional purity.
CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE
Neutral vegetable oil
This neutral oil is a mixture of medium-chain fatty acids derived from plants. It is a gentle, non-greasy and oxidatively stable oil.
SIMMONDSIA CHINENSIS SEED OIL [JOJOBA]
Jojoba oil
The liquid wax obtained from the seed of the jojoba shrub has smoothing, nurturing and protective effects. It is absorbed well without being greasy and has UV-absorbing properties.
ROSA DAMASCENA FLOWER WATER
Damask rose flower water
Organic Damask rose flower water, obtained through distillation, is moisturizing, mildly antimicrobial and a natural fragrance.
MACADAMIA TERNIFOLIA SEED OIL
Macadamia nut oil
Macadamia nut oil offers very good skin protection and makes dry, flaky skin supple again.
BETAINE
Betaine
Betaine, extracted from beet sugar molasses, moisturizes and soothes skin and hair. Used on hair, it also improves manageability and increases volume.
SODIUM PCA
Sodium salt of pyrrolidone carbonic acid (PCA)
This salt of pyrrolidone carboxylic acid has a moisturizing effect.
SODIUM POLYPHOSPHATE
Natriumpolyphosphat
This condensation product of salts is used as a stabilizer.

Glycerin, derived from vegetable oil, has a moisturizing effect.
TOCOPHEROL
Vitamin E
Vitamin E, derived from vegetable oils, stabilizes cosmetics. As an antioxidant, it protects against free radicals and thus against premature skin aging. It also prevents skin damage caused by UV rays.
BISABOLOL
(Alpha) bisabolol
Organic FSC-certified bisabolol, obtained from the candeia tree, has anti-inflammatory and calming properties.
PHENETHYL ALCOHOL
Phenethyl alcohol
Phenethyl alcohol is a primary component of rose oil. It is a natural fragrance with an anti-microbial effect.
HELIANTHUS ANNUUS SEED OIL [SUNFLOWER]
Sunflower oil
The organic sunflower oil is rich in unsaturated fatty acids and vitamins. It has nourishing and smoothing effects.
SCLEROTIUM GUM
Sclerotium gum
Sclerotium gum, sustainably obtained using biotechnology, is a long-chain carbohydrate. It is used as a natural viscosity regulator and emulsion stabilizer.

Aroma is the collective term for fragrances such as plant distillates, mixtures of essential oils and perfume compounds.

ROSA FLORIBUNDA CALLUS EXTRACT
"Black Forest Rose" oil-soluble extract from stem cell culture (sustainable, modern and GMO-free method for deriving active substances from plants)
These sustainably obtained extracts from Black Forest rose stem cells were developed exclusively for Börlind. Both extracts have a moisturizing effect. The lipo-soluble extract stimulates the skin’s own hyaluronic acid production, strengthens the skin’s protective barrier and increases skin elasticity. The hydro-soluble extract activates the skin’s collagen synthesis, while at the same time inhibiting collagen breakdown and thus counteracting skin aging.
LITHOSPERMUM ERYTHRORHIZON ROOT EXTRACT
Gromwell root extract
Gromwell root extract is a traditional natural remedy. It is a natural red colorant and has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and antioxidant effects.

Red iron oxide
This cosmetic colorant is used to color skin care products and decorative cosmetics.

0% Microplastics
Plastics can be used in cosmetics in the form of exfoliating beads or as liquid plastic. Annemarie Börlind formulations do not contain microplastics - neither in solid nor in liquid form.

Internationally recognized natural cosmetics seal. COSMOS guarantees environmentally friendly and safe manufacturing processes. Genetically modified & critical ingredients are not permitted. >99% of the ingredients are of natural origin.
No package insert
We are currently gradually removing the package inserts from all our products, which enables us to save over 15 tons of paper every year. You can find all the important information on the inside of the folding box.

PETA is one of the largest animal welfare organizations in the world. Their certification confirms that Annemarie Börlind does not carry out or commission any animal testing. In addition, all our products are vegetarian and around 79% vegan.

About our project – Black Forest rose stem cells

The plant’s genomes are not changed in stem cell research. Its objective is to multiply the plant’s highly potent ingredients using microbiology in order to avoid the overexploitation of nature. This special Black Forest rose stem cell extract has an impact on a series of different biological activities that contribute to the well-being of the skin cells and reduce the signs of skin aging.
