“If I can’t eat it, I won’t put it on my skin.” This guiding principle shaped Annemarie Lindner’s approach when she began developing effective natural cosmetics in the 1950s—decades ahead of her time. The careful use of natural resources and the continuous search for the hidden potential of nature have been integral to the company’s philosophy ever since. Above all, ANNEMARIE BÖRLIND is built on a legacy of courage, dedication, and an unwavering passion for natural cosmetics.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

Annemarie Lindner struggled with problem skin and underwent several dermatological treatments, some of which were painful. However, they only provided temporary improvement. While on vacation, she received an herbal mask treatment, and her skin gradually began to improve. This experience inspired Annemarie Lindner to train as a professional cosmetologist and develop her own skincare products.

DISCOVERY OF BÖRLIND’S OWN DEEP SPRING

That year, the company’s own deep spring was opened up at a depth of 80 meters. A second spring was later discovered at a depth of 166 meters. Today, the soft water from these springs is exclusively used in the company’s production processes.

After four years of development, extensive testing, and scientifically confirmed efficacy, the time had finally come. DADO-COSMED GMBH IS FOUNDED

Drawing on his previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Michael Lindner recognized the need for dermatological skincare products made with natural ingredients. As a result, he founded the subsidiary DADO-cosmed GmbH in 1987. Today, the DADO SENS DERMACOSMETICS line offers specialized care products for people with atopic eczema, acne, rosacea, allergies, and very dry skin.

Together, the two teams developed two new active ingredients: a lipo extract and a hydro extract derived from the stem cells of the Black Forest rose. These are used exclusively in three of our products.
