Water is the most common ingredient in cosmetics. It acts as a solvent and helps hydrate the skin. At our production site, we use our own BÖRLIND deep spring water, sourced from a depth of 166 meters and known for its exceptional purity.
SIMMONDSIA CHINENSIS SEED OIL [JOJOBA]
Jojoba oil
The liquid wax obtained from the seed of the jojoba shrub has smoothing, nurturing and protective effects. It is absorbed well without being greasy and has UV-absorbing properties.
SQUALANE
Squalane
Squalane, derived from sugar cane or olives, is very similar to the skin’s natural squalene. This botanical oil leaves skin feeling silky and non-greasy. It has smoothing and moisture-retaining effects.
ZEA MAYS OIL [CORN]
Maize-germ oil
Maize germ oil is a skin-compatible base oil.

The potassium salt of plant-derived lactic acid is used as an antimicrobial active substance.

Arginine
Arginine is an amino acid. Amino acids are components of proteins and also occur in human skin as natural moisturizing factors (NMF). They maintain the skin’s protective acid mantle layer and bind moisture.

Effective protection for dry skin

To protect the skin against oxidative stress from environmental influences, all ROSENTAU products contain organic alpenrose leaf extract from the Swiss Alps. The extract counters the oxidation of skin proteins down to the epidermis, reducing the effects of premature aging. It also increases the skin’s resistance by breaking down older cells that trigger inflammatory reactions and therefore encourage aging.
