Squalane, derived from sugar cane or olives, is very similar to the skin’s natural squalene. This botanical oil leaves skin feeling silky and non-greasy. It has smoothing and moisture-retaining effects.
ALCOHOL
Pure undenatured ethyl alcohol, potable alcohol
Pure (undenatured) potable alcohol, derived from the fermentation of plants containing starch or sugar, is used as a solvent for extracts and active substances. It also has refreshing, vascular toning and preserving effects.

The oil extracted from marula tree seeds comes from a socio-ecological project in Namibia. Its high omega fatty acid content and vitamins gives it barrier-strengthening and moisture-regulating effects. It is also rich in antioxidants that help counteract skin aging.

The amino acid ectoin, sustainably obtained using biotechnology, is a protective molecule that microorganisms use to protect themselves from drying out due to heat, UV radiation and high salt concentrations. Betaine
Betaine, extracted from beet sugar molasses, moisturizes and soothes skin and hair. Used on hair, it also improves manageability and increases volume.

The extract obtained from the leaves of the olive tree is rich in antioxidant active substances such as oleuropein, helping to combat free radicals. It prevents skin damage caused by UV rays and blue light exposure.

ROSA FLORIBUNDA CALLUS EXTRACT
"Black Forest Rose" oil-soluble extract from stem cell culture (sustainable, modern and GMO-free method for deriving active substances from plants)
These sustainably obtained extracts from Black Forest rose stem cells were developed exclusively for Börlind. Both extracts have a moisturizing effect. The lipo-soluble extract stimulates the skin’s own hyaluronic acid production, strengthens the skin’s protective barrier and increases skin elasticity. The hydro-soluble extract activates the skin’s collagen synthesis, while at the same time inhibiting collagen breakdown and thus counteracting skin aging.
