RECYCLING

RECYCLING

According to the German Federal Statistical Office, every German produces 68 kilograms of packaging waste per year. This means that 8 million pieces of plastic end up in our oceans every year – equivalent to one truckload every minute. Unfortunately, it is virtually impossible to completely avoid packaging as a consumer and manufacturer. That’s why it’s even more important to dispose of it properly so that it can be recycled and reused. But did you know, for example, that when a plastic bottle is combined with a pump dispenser, the plastic bottle goes into the recycling bin and the pump goes into the household trash? Based on our BODY CARE series, we would like to give you an overview of the most common packaging in cosmetics and how to dispose of or recycle the empty tubes, bottles and jars.
