According to the German Federal Statistical Office, every German produces 68 kilograms of packaging waste per year. This means that 8 million pieces of plastic end up in our oceans every year – equivalent to one truckload every minute. Unfortunately, it is virtually impossible to completely avoid packaging as a consumer and manufacturer. That’s why it’s even more important to dispose of it properly so that it can be recycled and reused. But did you know, for example, that when a plastic bottle is combined with a pump dispenser, the plastic bottle goes into the recycling bin and the pump goes into the household trash?
