In its Innovation Competition, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) has distinguished innovative vocational training projects resulting from successful cooperation between industry and society.

On November 26, 2012, Börlind was honored in Berlin as one of the award winners by the Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, Gudrun Kopp, for its “Shea butter from Mali” project.

The prize awarded in the Innovation Competition offers two Malian women the opportunity to come to Germany next year on a one-week study visit. The participants of all the winning projects will become acquainted with sector-specific institutions, and exchange views and experiences during a two-day workshop in Berlin. Afterwards, the two Malian participants will visit our company in Calw for some further training.
