History

Annemarie Lindner and her business partner Hermann Börner founded the natural skin care company Annemarie Börlind on 1st. January 1959. A trained beautician, Annemarie Lindner had already been producing and selling her own cosmetics in the GDR, before laying the foundations for the Black Forest company.

In 1965 her idea of systematic skin care, she was the first manufacturer of cosmetics to postulate this idea, bore fruit: Börlind received the much sought after neuform seal. At the same time the linden leaf was registered as a trade mark of Annemarie Börlind Natural Skin Care.

The Börlind company developed so fast that the company offices soon became too small. In 1972 the corner stone was laid for the present company building in the Lindenstrasse in Calw. In the same year the company tapped its own spring – soft spring water which is still being used in production today.

1974 – a good idea received a name: LL Regeneration, a valuable skin care series for skin over 30, was launched.

In February 1978 Michael Lindner took over the leading role in the family firm.

1983 –the available space was once again insufficient for the development of this dynamic company: the concept of a building conforming to the latest structural/biological designs was quickly realized: rooms flooded with light and an open architecture appear natural and transparent.

At the end of 1985 Annemarie Lindner officially retired, is still today, however, -especially for the development of new products - an irreplaceable advisor.

In 1991 Annemarie Börlind launched a new premium series for mature skin: system absolute.

Michael Lindner has been alone as company manager since 1996. In 1998 he was awarded the Economic Medal Baden-Württemberg for his services.

2001, the company confirms the innovative powers of its own research team: NatuRoyale Biolifting Creme, the crowning of natural skin care pioneer Annemarie Lindner’s life’s work, enthralls the cosmetic world.

Since January 1st. 2003 the company has been exclusively owned by the Lindner family. In the same year the women’s magazine “Für Sie” voted Annemarie Lindner as one of the “100 most remarkable women of the year” the laudation says it all “ if she really owes her youthful appearance to her own cosmetic products – then bring them here!”

Börlind invites: “open day” in June 2004 tempts around 2500 interested visitors.
